Welcome to Draw Physica, a 2D physics-based puzzle game created for the GameDev.tv Game Jam!

In this game, your goal is simple yet challenging: guide the soccer ball safely into the target box. You don't control the ball directly; instead, you interact with the world by drawing custom lines and shapes. Draw a heavy object above the ball to drop it and kickstart its movement, then sketch precise paths, ramps, and bridges to navigate through a maze of static geometric obstacles.

Theme Integration: "Connecting"

For the jam's theme, Connecting, we wanted to interpret it through gameplay mechanics. Every line you draw acts as a literal connection—connecting gravity to the ball to make it move, and connecting disconnected platforms to create a continuous, safe pathway that guides the ball straight to its final destination.

Developer's Note & Credits

I am a complete beginner in game development, and this jam has been an incredible learning experience for me! Because I am still figuring things out and learning Unity and physics programming, I couldn't have done this alone.

I want to give a massive thank you to my friends who stepped up to help me bring this idea to life:

  • @OverStars – For providing invaluable guidance, brainstorming, and technical support.
  • @yosephhh – For helping me clear roadblocks and keep the project moving forward.

Thank you for playing my very first game jam submission! Any feedback, tips, or critiques are highly appreciated as I continue my journey into game dev. Enjoy drawing, connecting, and solving!
